This is a good place to ride during a wet season, the ground is very sandy and almost never is washed out.
Nice and gentle on the horses feet, no need for shoes/boots here.
There is a large day parking area in a meadow, with plenty of campfire rings and barbeque pits, as well as poles to tie up your horses.
You may want to bringe your own rope, there are no cross beams on the ties.
They may be open all year, but call first. I have heard stories of people going there and being turned back because the park was closed to
equestrian activity.
